DEPARTMENT OF HUMANITIES

The Department of Humanities is concerned with the working and functionality of society.

We are poised to examine institutions like the government, the economy and family. The department strives to study how individuals and group interact with one another and what drives human behavior.

There are a number of disciplines in humanities; Anthropology, Archeology, political science, Economics, History, Geography, Linguistics, Psychology, Civic and Security Education etc. But, within the ambit of the secondary school, there is a fusion of these disciplines to just a few. All the subjects in Humanities Department form a valuable cocktail towards providing information on government, policy makers, local authorities, non- governmental organization etc., to make sense of our ever changing human society, inspiring us to be culturally sensitive, environmentally awake and socially responsible.

Humanities Department is positioned to give more insight about the world beyond our immediate experience, and can help explain how our own society works; from unemployment to what helps a society grow.
